The said championship are to take place in the province of Mpumalanga, Ermelo. This will probably be the first time that Ermelo will be hosting an event of such a nature. We know that Ermelo will be well and ready by the time the premier athletes of South- Africa arrive.
Most of the athletes from the recently held Global Games in Chech Republic will be represented. Beyond this the first Downs Athletics Team will also be chosen during this championship. The National Downs athletics team will be competing in the not so distant future in a major World Championship. More details of the championship will be posted.
The elite championship will also serve to finalize the 2010 Inas-Fid Football World Championship in Limpopo province. Yes, the cat is out of the bag now. Limpopo province has been nominated to host the 2010 football chanmponship. More details will be posted soon.
This championship for the Intellectually Impaired will take place about a month after the senior football teams have left our shores.
